I have been doodling

One of my favorite pastimes at the moment when I have a moment to spare, John thinks I am designing wallpaper when I do flowers!
I loved playing with the birds, I found a new book called Creative Doodling and although there isnt a lot I dont know it did give me a spur onto doing a few different things with my doodles.
I thought it might be a good one for the grandchildren and as it cost less than $20 from the book depository I was happy to add it to the collection.
I think the house, especially in this wet weather is sinking beneath the weight of paper.
I am afraid I like books too much to go electronic, even though John has a kindle and I can see that if I was travelling a lot one would be useful I still like the feel and smell of books.

Re did an older painting

I had done the sky and the reeds and it all looked terribly boring so this morning, in between vacuuming and waiting to collect John from his day surgery at the hospital I got it out and fiddled around with the forground and put in a range of hills and it now looks quite a lot better, not perfect but then what do I do that is?
At least it took my mind off things and apart from snipping off a couple of polyps John is ok thank goodness.
I really got myself into a stew this morning.
The house has had its bi weekly dust and mop and vacuum so I can relax for a while.
Good thing too as I ache abominably after doing all of that.
