Re did an older painting

I had done the sky and the reeds and it all looked terribly boring so this morning, in between vacuuming and waiting to collect John from his day surgery at the hospital I got it out and fiddled around with the forground and put in a range of hills and it now looks quite a lot better, not perfect but then what do I do that is?
At least it took my mind off things and apart from snipping off a couple of polyps John is ok thank goodness.
I really got myself into a stew this morning.
The house has had its bi weekly dust and mop and vacuum so I can relax for a while.
Good thing too as I ache abominably after doing all of that.

When are we ever satisfied with our own work? You have created a very pleasant painting, I like it.

I suppose as a wife I took feel empathy for my husband as he undergoes medical tests, joining in the 12 hours fast and worrying that he will spew up the sugar drink like I did!. No worries and a good report later on.

P-sometimes we just need time to look at pieces and know we need to go a do a bitt more. Over the weekend I reworked my sculpture called Flow - resounded the face, put in bigger rusted bolts and stained the wood of the flow black with ink. I'm now happy with it. Go well. B
