A little bit of nonsense

Scraps from my work table, hasnt used up much but a few odds and ends to keep me amused. Have caught the bug a bit from my colour me positive posts.

Week 15 of colour me positive

I was a week behind and this is my catch up week. Having fun with colour and a different slant on the happiness quote.

Week 14 of Colour me positive

I am a week late and hope to get this weeks done tomorrow. I had already done the background on a piece of deli paper ages ago, made up the little paper doll, she does have sparkles on her dress but its not showing up. That was part of the brief, and the other was to use the word Hope. I decided on the quote Hope Springs Eternal. I think the little fish comes into that. It was fun to do. I am finally recovering from my lovley trip to Ballarat but fade by mid afternoon. Really annoying but that is elderly life I suppose.

Bad hair day, in my sketchbook

Had fun the other day drawing these young ladies. I haven't had time to draw much lately. I have been busy packing the car, off to Ballarat early tomorrow morning, about a 8 hour drive. Looking forward to catching up with friends and doing a workshop with Peta Lloyd. Hope I survive it all, wish me luck. I probably won't manage to post until I get home next week.

Colour me positive week 12

Afraid I cheated with this one as I had a lot going on and cant get over feeling so tired. The prompt was Expand and to use wings some where. I had originally put white acrylic on the page, then used blue koinoor inks which didnt show a lot but I quite liked what had happened. I searched and found some cut out flowers and the bee stickers. I never use these things and as I was a bit stressed decided to use them. I actually quite like the way it came out. The weather is lovely, cool nights and warm days but ... Today I made a chocolate cake to take up to my sister and an impossible pie as we will have lunch with friend P. My visit to the doctor means a few things to be cut off, nothing urgent but when I get home from Ballarat after Easter. No real answer to my continuous tiredness. All they can say is you have arthritis and you are diabetic. Great.

Week 11 colour me Positive

What fun, had cut out this hare, and used the tree stencil and on my work desk was this little basket of flowers. As the quote was use your intuition, I added to it eat the flowers. Seemed sensible to me. Every week I dont think I will come up with something and every week something pops into my head.

Broken shell

I find that sketching these broken shells is fun, they are always different. This is one of George's (the cat) favorite playthings.
