Bushfire

We have seen so many images of the Victorian fires and I have been trying to find time to do this for a few days, it is what has stuck in my mind.
I can hear rain on the roof at the moment, probably not much but it smells fresher outside and any rain is better than nothing, it washes the dust off and makes us all hopeful.

That is a strong picture Penny and a reminder of what happened and can still happen. Despite all the bushfire warnings for today, it is cooler and there is a drizzle of rain.

Thanks for visiting my blog Penny. I love your sketches, the bush fire one is really expressive. Glad you have some rain, we are in for heavy rain and high winds later today. I have made a vow to try not to complain about the amount of rain we get!! Wish I could send you some.

I agree with Wendy, that IS a strong picture, Penny. We did get one good 2.5-inch rain a few weeks ago. Doesn't it sound wonderful? Of course, as you know, the ground just inhales it in a minute and it's gone. But we do have some green showing up and a few leaves on the Mesquite. And the fires will quiet down for a short spell. Hoping that you get more rain.
