Faces

This is John at the bottom and some other fellow eating lunch yesterday. I have had no time to draw today, although I have walked and fed the ponies, so windy drying and quite cool. My aunt by marraige and her second husband for lunch so that took up all morning. And most of the afternoon and after yesterday I feel tired.
I must find time to draw the Japanese bantams I was given, very sweet, I hope not too noisy, but I do like to hear a rooster crow. He has 4 little hens who cluck and carry on.

I'm waiting to see pictures of the little bantams. Are they the fluffy kind? One time in Fiji my sister-in-law had bantams and one laid an egg in my little son's cot! It horrified me but the door was open and it just came in if no one was looking. So I claimed the egg for the little kid!

Yes, try sketching the bantams sometime. You are having a busy time on top of all the extra hand feeding and the weather - no wonder you are tired. Holidays soon!

Your days sound really exhausting at times. Good on you for having another go at people after not being satisfied with the netball drawings. They're always so difficult, because even people with no artistic eye can see when a portrait isn't right.
