Adelaide Royal Show

Ok this is a bit childlike but then going to the show is rather like going back in time to your childhood. I love the show but increasingly dont like the crowds.
My pony got 3rd in her class and one we bred but is owned by someone else was 1st so that was good.
I saw my nephew and his dogs and my partner in pugs the other Penny but they hadnt been judged yet.
I bought two native orchids and three succulents.
I walked miles as the dogs are one end, the flowers another and the horses another.
We came home and had lunch at Whalers on the sea and negated the good we had done walking by eating and drinking. Lovely.

This must be a good time of year to have the show - we have it in February and it's too hot to enjoy properly. I hope you have a good foaling season - we are still waiting for rain. I like your show drawing - it gives a good feel of the fun

Sounds like you had a fun day and the picture tells the story of your day. How far are you from Adelaide? We took our family to Adelaide when the boys were just kids - had a great time. We stayed at the YMCA as they had family rooms. We walked in, singing that song!

Wendy we are about an hour to an hour and a half away depending on the traffic so its not bad, just a lot of outlying suburbs and stop lights to go through if you miss the express way (which goes one way for 1/2 the day and then the other way for the rest of the day) we dont have the freeways Melbourne has.
