Crows

My walk this evening with the dogs was interrupted by a huge flock of crows who flew cawing across the paddocks. They have been busily raising young ones and I think are not finding muchto eat in our dry and sandy paddocks.
Done very quickly as I was tired and needing to get back and feed up the animals and get our meal together. (Left overs from last nights dinner party.)

Ooh I do love it when I have enough leftovers not to have to cook. I can feel virtuous that it's home made, but I don't have any of the work. I'm in very quick sketch mode at the moment as well.

I hate crows!
Actually I'm scared of most birds. And now when I think of it our visit to Jirralinga which was not threatening, as the birds were caged. made me think about how do treat our native birds. It is wrong to put them in cages, totally wrong, even though it's our opportunity to see a variety close up.
The animal welfare place was started to care for sick creatures but it has become like a zoo but with small cages and areas.
Oops - maybe you have a pet cocky or galah!

Reminds me so much of Van Gogh's final painting.
