Old Catholic Seminary

This very quick sketch was done outside in the heat and is of the main building where my classes were being held, it was the old Catholic Seminary up near Morialta, a lovely building rather going to seed inside but still good on the outside.
A good two days but I am now very tired and dont feel like doing much. But I have a full day so I had better get going. A sample of what I did is on my back valley seasons blog.

Old buildings like this are fun the draw with all their curvy details. I find old seminaries rather scary places though. I suppose it is some of my ancestral memories - someone in the family was Irish from Kilkenny. I went to a music conference one time at a Catholic seminary and it had such a strange atmosphere - a celibate men's world.
Take it easy in the heat Penny. It is very humid here today and I don't feel like doing anything but about 12 people are coming here tonight for kava drinking and dinner - they all bring food to share and we have lots of cooked taro our son brought back from Fiji.
