Across the valley
Somehow I messed up the trees in the centre and the long curve of trees on the central hill didnt quite work either. Probably a lot of other things too but this was the best I could do.
Things are not quite so green now after the frosts we have had so I will have to record the yellow brown in places where the kikuyu grass really got burnt off.

This one is very nice – if you stop being so apologetic, I'll try to suggest some smiles in my self portraits!
My internet (at home) is back up, so I am catching up on your paintings and drawings.
Thanks for sharing. I love your work.
Lovely tones of green/brown.
Yep, don't apologize. Nice paper quality helps doesn't it? I tend to paint on skinny paper that buckles up and the scanner adds lots of crazy shadows!
Peceli is back. Hoorah! And finding it so so cold!

I really like this painting and the one below it. They are lovely and warm and full of feeling.
A very relaxed feeling Penny and you have captured the eucalypt (sugar gum perhaps?) beautifully. Lovely colours and composition.
